I greatly admire mommy bloggers and all bloggers for their ingenuity and finding ways to contribute to their family’s income through creative means.  While I, too, seek ways to help support our homeschooling lifestyle, I am not at this time using my blog for this.  (And probably not in the future – I’m more interested in freelance writing and photography.) My blog is a creative outlet and a social networking tool.  At this time, I don’t want to think of it as anything else.  I don’t need that pressure!

I’m making this statement so that all my readers will know that there are no ads on my blog (if you see one, please let me know!), and I’m not receiving any compensation from any company for promoting their products or services.  If I mention a product or service it’s because my family happened to purchase it, or it was given to us as a gift.  We own several educational tools that we’ve received second-hand from friends, family or purchases from library sales.

Having said this, I’m more than happy to help friends promote their blogs, tools or other creative projects, if I deem them worthy of promotion.  But I require no extra compensation for doing so.

If this ever changes, I will announce it on my blog. Promise.
