Thank you so much for sharing that with me, Peggy! It's really good to hear from grown homeschoolers. I know there are some who were not happy with their experience, but many who are. I hope my boys will be happy with their homeschooling childhood!

There's some good articles here, I have not had a chance to go through them all yet. When you posted "Why I Homeschool" on FB, I reposted it with another article about homeschooling and I want to share the comment by my 24 year old nephew ( He was homeschooled from first grade until he went to college, along with his six younger siblings):

"So many good things about both these articles. In the pioneer days of homeschooling it probably was a little bit harder, but now with all of these homeschool co-ops, etc., the parents don't have teach everything, but instead are their own general contractors. You know, if you really ponder over the first article, I think you'll realize that homeschooling is more natural than traditional schooling, not just because of the learning styles but because kids are meant to be with, and learn from their parents. I think a lot of the extra social baggage and stress that comes with a traditional education severely impedes the ability to learn because the child is put on the defense. My classroom kindergarten experience was like that, and it became clear to my mom that I wasn't learning according to my true abilities, and that's initially why she homeschooled me."

I love that I know several familes who homeschool who have children who are now adults and can hear their perspectives. I have not heard ONE complaint from any of them. :-)
